THE TUCSON HOME

Saddlebrook Subdivision, Tucson, AZ
PROJECT
We bought a partially renovated 1996 home in Tucson’s Saddlebrooke subdivision that needed vision—think teal and yellow walls, original front door, and a broken backyard water feature. Our first updates included repainting the entire interior, adding plantation shutters, and replacing the front door and entry gate with a steel French door for a striking first impression. Furnishings drew from the surrounding desert palette—soft pinks, greens, and clay—layered over dark floors with vintage rugs, and accented with boho-meets-mid-century lighting and decor. Outside, we modernized the exterior with white paint, a chocolate-brown garage door, and a fully redesigned pool area with Spanish tile, multiple entertaining zones, and desert-friendly landscaping. The result is a warm, modern desert retreat that blends indoor comfort with outdoor living.
